Fruit Logistica has grown to become the world’s largest trade show for fruits and vegetables, serving as a global platform for fresh produce, machinery and technology, and logistics. The 2025 edition of Fruit Logistica took place at Messe Berlin, Germany, from February 5–7, bringing together over 91,000 professionals from across the fresh produce industry. This premier event offers opportunities to meet customers and suppliers, present new products and innovations, connect with key stakeholders, and stay informed about the latest industry developments.

In the future, will there still be a sufficient supply of fresh fruits and vegetables, every day and all year round? As climate change and resource shortages mean that availability can no longer be taken for granted, supply chain concerns are increasing among supermarkets. “Growers and retailers can count on our commitment to innovative long-term solutions,” say Rijk Zwaan’s Jan Doldersum and Ingeborg Kleijer.

We had an amazing time hosting successful Demo Days 2024 at our R&D station in Garakahalli, Karnataka. The event was a resounding success, bringing together approx 245 growers and stakeholders from across the country to celebrate RZ innovations.

The R&D top 30, highlighting the most innovative companies in the Netherlands, has been published on 6 December. Rijk Zwaan proudly holds the 11th position.

We recently hosted an engaging field day in Rajpura, Punjab, to introduce our latest innovation, the subtropical cauliflower variety Tirsuli RZ F1. This event brought together a large group of local farmers eager to experience firsthand the impressive performance of this new variety, designed specifically for subtropical climates.

We are thrilled to announce the launch of our two groundbreaking mini cucumber hybrids, Princestar RZ and Herostar RZ, set to revolutionize the farming experience and significantly boost production for growers. These exceptional hybrids are the result of years of dedicated research and development, aimed at enhancing yield and quality.

We produce seeds ourselves at numerous Rijk Zwaan facilities. Additionally, we work together with third-party seed producers. Each year, we carry out Fair Labour audits of our external partners to ensure that these companies work to the same standards that we uphold for Rijk Zwaan employees.
